I grew up in Cupertino, CA, and am currently in Louisville, CO working on developing in-space refueling at Orbit Fab.
I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. My work focused on the development of novel manufacturing and testing techniques for synthetic gecko-inspired adhesives. I developed an adhesive material with one-way friction, designed, built, and validated a custom air-bearing testing apparatus, and was responsible for maintenance of lab manufacturing tools, including a CNC machine, Form and Objet 3D printers, and IR and UV laser cutters.
Prior to Stanford, I earned a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton in 2013, with a capstone project developing a stabilizing autopilot for an RC jet.
Other technical interests include controls, robotics, and mechatronics. In my free time, I enjoy machining and building things, working on my model railroad, ice hockey, programming, Kerbal Space Program, and solving the general problem when a simple solution would have sufficed. I can be contacted at [email protected], or through LinkedIn.
